Mississippi Career Ready Certificate Program

All a Mississippi resident needs to do is head down to a WorkKeys® Service center, sign up and take the three core assessments.  This will qualify you for a Career Ready Certificate.  This certificate tells prospective employers that the applicant has the foundational workplace skills that employers demand. 

The only problem here is that Governor Haley Barbour hasn’t demanded that Mississippi get involved in this growing national initiative. Can you imagine...over 50,000 Mississippi citizens could apply for their certificates having already completed the necessary assessments.  That’s right...some 13,000 students have been doing this each year for the past 5 or so years.  Hello...anyone listening??  Governor?? Nissan?? Northrup Grumman?? Tower Automotive??
