I'm OK with a day or two of this guy...

Here is a link to an article from the Washington Post that I found interesting. You may have to sign up at their web site to view the article but to do so is free.  The interesting part is the essay written by Richard Chapleau about being Education Emperor for a day.  It should come as no surprise to regular visitors here that I don’t agree with all of Mr. Chapleau’s ideas.  I think he is spot on some of them.  I do deplore the attitude of parents and modern culture when it comes to the raising of young children...just leave it to the schools. 
Now I am even more impressed by the valedictory address at my son’s High School graduation several years ago that referenced the valedictorian’s favorite poem from which he quoted...”...I do not like them Sam I am...” Perhaps that background in some way attributed to where this young man was that day.
